Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) observed the 46th Independence & National Day with due respects, solemnity and festive mode at the university campus.
To mark the day an elaborated programs have been chalked out which included, hoisting the national flag and marching past at dawn, offering floral wreath, and holding discussion meeting, sports & children's art competition and special prayer at the university's central mosque.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbubar Rahman placed floral wreaths at the Mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and sculpture of Joy Bangla at its main campus in Gazipur. Students-teachers of different halls, Gonotantrik officers association, employees association and university school also placed floral wreaths. Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain Mian, Director (Students Welfare) Prof. Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain), Registrar Prof. Dr. Qazi Abdul Khaliq and others faculty members were present at that time. A special prayer also offered after Zohr prayer at the university central Mosque.
