A court on Wednesday issued arrest warrant against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia among 28 persons in a case relating to Jatrabari arson attack that left one dead and 27 others burned.

Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order after accepting the charges against them.

Earlier, detectives pressed charges against Khaleda Zia and 37 others in the case.

Of the 38 accused, 10 are either behind the bars or on bail.

On night of January 23, 2015,  miscreants torched a passenger bus at Jatrabari in capital that left 31 people burnt. One of the victims, later, succumbed to his injuries.
