Laxmipur: Two cases have been filed against five people in connection with the ‘rape’ of two siblings in Kamalnagar upazila by a group of people.
Victims’ mother filed the cases against four identified people and an unidentified man with Kamalnagar Police Station under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on Friday, said officer-in-charge of the police station M Kabir Ahmed.
The four named accused are Khokon, son of late Israfil; Siraj Uddin, son of late Solaiman; Yousuf, son of Ismail Hossain; and Abdul Karim, son of Hossain Ahmed of Torabganj area in the upazila.
Locals said Khokon, who was in love with the elder sister, came to the courtyard of their house on Tuesday night and asked her to meet him. As she refused to meet him alone, he asked her to take her younger sister along.
As soon as the two girls stepped out of their house, Khokon along with his 4-5 associates gagged them and took them to a nearby abandoned house. Later, they violated the two siblings in turns.
Their mother found the two girls in an unconscious state nearby a pond in the early hours of Wednesday.
