BFF Annual General Meeting and General Election is scheduled for April 30 and before that the opposing group of the present committee met Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon under the banner of 'Save the football' and requested him to convey their message to the Prime Minister. The group, led by former national booter Shamsul Alam Manju, Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu, Abdul Gaffra, Kaysar Hamid, Jakariya Pintu, Shafiqul Islam Manik and Mohammedan SC in charge Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan went to Papon's Gulshan residence on the day. It's known that the group has a close tie with Sk Jamal president Manzur Kader who is one of the strong critics and antagonist of BFF boss Kazi Salahuddin. BCB president said that the organisers and players met him that day to give him a responsibility and he would talk to the PM within a few days regarding that. On the other hand, country's legendary footballer Kazi Salahuddin said, "If they are the people of this arena then my question to them is - what is their contribution for local football in last ten years. I, moreover, believe that it was nothing but an activity to put the upcoming General Election in a dilemma and to complicate the situation." However, the hearing on the writ petition of Sk Jamal against BFF to return them the eight-booter will be held today (Thursday) at 11:00pm. The players will also be in the court on the day. The court may give a verdict today or may take more time.
