SYLHET, Apr 10: Three people were injured in a clash between the activists of the ruling Awami League's student and volunteer fronts-Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Swechchhasebak League-in Kuarpar area of city on Saturday night. Sohel Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station, said activists of the district unit Swechchhasebak League President Afsar Aziz and Chhatra League leader Samad locked in an altercation in the afternoon. Later, the activists of Afsar Aziz chased off the supporters of Samad around 10:00pm which triggered a clash in the area. The clash left three people, including a passer-by, injured. Police also recovered four machetes from the spot.
