Bangladesh national football head coach Lodewijk de Kruif said that making a lot of mistakes was the reason behind a devastating 5-0 defeat to Tajikistan on Thursday.
Like the past, Bangladesh suffered such a big margin defeat against the Central Asian country in their away play-off match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifier at the Central Republic Stadium, Dushanbe in Tajikistan.
Yet the Bengal boys was talking about the cold weather after losing an away match of the FIFA World cup Qualifier last year, weather was not a good option to blame for a defeat this time. Weather in the both countries are quite same at the time of the year.
Kruif said in the post-match briefing, "My boys failed to counter the opponents properly. They played the first half considerably well although lose the rhythm in the second half. While my players made a lot of mistakes, the opponents made the best use of the situation to widen the goal margin."
The Dutch coach said, "The Tajik played in a different style that we used to play in Holland where the players use a lot of space and I think it would be an example for Bangladesh team. Bangladesh have something to learn from them."
However, Kruif was optimist to do well at home in next match.
