BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has called for a global unity to end terrorism as she condemned the killing of 50 people in a US gay nightclub.
In a message on Monday, the BNP chief said Bangladeshis were also concerned over such terrorist attacks in the US.
"The attack at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida is not only inhumane, it was also cowardly. Global extremism is growing very fast," the former prime minister said. "The entire world is in threat (because of the terrorists). We think this attack is an attack on tolerance, social harmony and humanity." The BNP chief said terrorists have no state. "They want to enforce their ideology by destabilising the world." International terrorism, she observed, aimed to spread the medieval darkness.
