Couple killed in Jhenaidah road accident

A couple was killed and two others including their daughter were injured in a collision between an engine run van and a pickup van in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenidah district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Sabder Ali, 41, hailed from Bishoikhali village of Jhenidah Sadar upazila and his wife Parveena Begum, 29. Their daughter injured Sathi, 15, and van driver were admitted to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital.

Sub Inspector (SI) Iqbal Kabir of Kaliganj Police Station said the accident occurred at around 6 am in front of Mobarokganj Sugar Mill on Jhenidah-Jashore road. Parveena died on the spot while Sabder Ali succumbed to his injuries on the way to Jashore General Hospital.





The bodies were handed over to their family members.
