Comilla road crash kills man, son

A Man and his son were killed in a road accident in Daudkandi upazila of Comilla on Saturday.

The dead were identified as Mohammad Selim, 65, hailed from Kalipur village in Titash upazila, and his son Golam Sarwar, 28. Selim was a former member of Bhitikandi UP.

Witnesses said Selim and Sarwar, who were standing roadside, received critical injuries and then fell into a pond when a speeding truck hit them at about 9am.

The father and son were whisked off to the upazila health complex where they died in the afternoon, said Daudkandi Highway Thana OC Abdul Awal.
