GB youth enjoying their annual competition winning ceremony

Annual Inter Departmental Sports Competition of Gono Bishwabidyalay (GB) was held at its play ground on 27 Feb. On the last day of competition, English Department defeated Physiotherapy Department by penalty shootout 5 goals to 4 in Football game.
Earlier another three events basketball, badminton and cricket of female students were held here. In basketball (male) final, Department of CSE defeated Department of Medical Physics & Bio-medical Engineering. In basketball (female), Department of English gained the glory of being champions and Department of Pharmacy runner up. On the other hand, in badminton both male and female, Department of CSE and Department of Sociology & Social Work won the trophy respectively.
The main attraction of competition was cricket for female students. Department of Sociology & Social Work won the match defeating the female team of CSE Department. Kadiza Khatun Ruma and Conda Rani Sarkar from the Sociology & Social Work Department were selected man of the tournament and man of the match on their performance.  A total of 14 female teams participated in the event.
At the end of competition, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Laila Parveen Banu, Registrar Md Delowar Hossain, distributed prizes among the winners. The competition was started on 20 Jan 2019. The faculty members and staff also took part in the competition.
