Youth dies from snakebite in Thakurgaon

A seven-year-old boy died from snakebite at Ranisankail upazila in Thakurgaon  district on Saturday afternoon.

Deceased Rubel, 25, was the son of Rashid Ali,  a resident of Bharnia village under the upazila.

The deceased's father Rashid said a venomous snake bit Rubel in the afternoon when he was in sleep in the house. He immediately woke up and started crying due to severe burning sensation. Instantly, they took him to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital.

The on-duty doctor of the hospital referee red him to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Haripur Police Station officer in-charge Amirul Islam confirmed the matter.
