Stalker sued for assaulting teenage girl in Bhandaria
A case was filed on Tuesday night against a stalker for allegedly assualting a teenage girl at village Rajpasha under Bhandaria upazila in Pirojpur district.
The victim was a second year student of local Atarkhali Islamia Alim Madrasa.
According to the case statement, Shamim Mridha, son of Barek Mridha of Rajpasha village, approached the girl on the road in front of the house of local Altaf Hossain Chowkidar on Sunday. He allegedly started stalking the girl. When she opposed, the stalker swooped on her with a knife, which led to cutting three fingers of the girl's left hand.
Investigating officer and Bhandaria police sub-inspector Faruque Alam said, "The police has launched raids to arrest the accused. There are five more arrest warrants pending against Shamim in Bhandaria police station" he confirmed.
