All kinds of political programmes in the name of rallies, discussions or seminars at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) will remain suspended from now on.
It was decided at a meeting of the JPC management committee on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by the JPC President Farida Yasmin, said a press release signed by JPC joint secretary Mainul Alam.
The meeting also decided to ban the programmes in the name of Jihad Smriti Parishad, Zia Parishad and any political party's rallies and programmes, the press release said.
The meeting discussed in detail the "indisciplined and untoward incident" at the JPC premises on October 10.
"The management committee is committed to maintaining the discipline and order at any cost for the interest of the club's members," the press release said.
"The rules and conditions prescribed for the rent of various halls and auditoriums of the club must be followed strictly," it stated.
The committee sought cooperation from all concern in this regard.
