Minor boy ‘beaten dead’ over PUBG game in Manikganj


A minor boy was reportedly beaten to death by another boy in Manikganj’s Singair upazila on Saturday following an altercation over PUBG game.

The deceased was identified as Raju Ahmed, 14, son of Moslem Miah, of Dakshin Shahrail village in the upazila.
Assistant superintendent of police Md Rejaul Haque said Raju engaged in an altercation with Alif in the evening on Thursday over playing PUBG game.

At one statge of altercation, Alif took Raju on the bank of the Kalinganga river and hit the latter with a brick, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rescued Raju and admitted him to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital where he sucummbed to his injuries on Saturday morning.

When the death news of Raju spreads, family members of the deceased and villagers attacked Alif’s house.

Later, police bring the situation under control.
