Bangladesh go through to Super 12 with 84-run victory against PNG


Bangladesh beat Papua New Guinea by 84 runs in their last match of the qualifiers in the T20 World Cup at Al Amerat Stadium in Muscat on Thursday.

With this victory,  the tigers went through to the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup.
Shakib Al Hasan bagged four wickets for 9 runs and paved a way for the victory.

Earlier, the winning team won the toss, decided to bat first and scored 181 in 20 overs losing seven wickets.

Mahmudullah top-scored with 50 off 28 balls while Kabua Morea, Damien Ravu and Assad Vala bagged two wickets each.

Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea lost all wickets for 97 in 19.3 overs.
