Results of the Dhaka University (DU) 'Gha' unit admission test for 2020-2021 academic year under the Faculty of Social Science were published on Wednesday.
The results showed that 90.13 per cent examinees failed in the admission test.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman formally announced the result at 12noon on Wednesday at Professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury virtual classroom at the university's administrative building.
A total of 7,994, out of 81,007 students passed in the test against 1,570 seats. Of those, 6,071 from Science, 1,489 from Business Studies and 434 from Humanities passed the test. The total pass rate was 9.87%.
Nure Alam Shafi of Dhaka College achived the first position in the test getting 100.75 score from Science group while Md Imon Hossain of Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Government College got 103 number from Business Sudies group.
Rafid Hasan Shafwan, student of Darunnazat Siddikia Kamil Madrasa, got 105.50 from Humanities group.
The admission test was held on October 23 last with 81,007 examinees.
The result will be available on the university website admission.eis.du.ac.bd or through mobile SMS.
