Police on Friday recovered the body of a young man at Singair upazila in Manikganj district.
The deceased was identified as Liton Miah, 32.
Singair Police officer in-charge (OC) Md Safiqul Islam said locals spotted the body beside the Basta Bridge under Jamsha union at about 10:00am and later, informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue.
Police primarily assumed he might have been strangulated.
The death reason would be known upon receiving the autopsy report, the OC added.
