Eight gamblers held in Rajshahi

Police in a drive detained eight gamblers while gambling in Rajshahi's Rajpara Police Station area early Thursday.

On information, a team of Detective Branch of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police conducted a drive at Bosua Uttarpara area around 1:00 am and caught them red-handed.

Police also recovered cash money and several sets of plying cards from their possessions.

The detained persons are: Muktar, 32, Momtazur Rahman, 30, Md Afzal Hossain Dalim, 33, Md Rezaul Haque, 32, Md Azhar Hossain Azu, 50, Md Moinul Islam, 35, Md Altab Hossain, 48, and Md Asalm 24.
