SSC candidate killed being crushed by truck in Savar

An SSC candidate was killed being crushed by a truck in Savar upazila, on the outskirt of Dhaka, on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Tunin Mahmud Joy, 16, son of Tofazzal Hossain, a resident of  Radio Colony in the upazila. He was an SSC candidate from Radio Colony Model School.
Locals said a truck hit a motorcycle from behind on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar Bus Stand area at about 11:00 pm, leaving its rider Joy dead on the spot and another injured.

The injured were taken to Enam Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

On information, police recovered the body and brought it to Savar Highway Police Station, said its inspector Azizul Haque.

Police are trying to identify the truck, he added.
