Tree falls on rail line, Dhaka-Mymensingh train services resume after over 1hr

The train services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumed on Thursday after over one hour of suspension as a tree fell on the rail line during a storm.

The authorities removed the tree from the rail line at 11am. After that, the communication became normal on the route, said Mymensingh railway station inspector Md Mohiuddin.

He said the rail communication on the route disrupted for an hour after a tree fell down on a rail line near Ahmmod Bari station area at about 9:45am during the storm.

The authorities managed to normalise the services by removing the tree within a very short time.

Due to the incident, Dhaka-bound Brahmaputra Express became stuck at Fatemanagar and Dewanganj-bound Dewanganj Commuter at Awlianagar station.
