 Fire at Gazipur textile mill, firemen struggling to douse even after 11 hrs Fire Service men failed to take the fire that broke out at the godown of a textile mill in Gazipur's Sadar upazila under their control after over 11 hours. Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, said fire broke out at the cotton warehouse of 'Shamim Textile Limited' in Bhabanipur area around 12midnight on Monday. Five fire fighting units from Sreepur and Joydebpur are struggling to bring the flames under control. No injury or casualty was reported but huge amount of cotton was gutted, the Fire Service official added. The reason behind the blaze could not be known yet. TF |
