Boy commits suicide in Barishal

A teenage boy committed suicide in Kaunia Club area in Barishal city on Wednesday morning.

The dead was Monishangkar Moon, 15, son of Manosh Kumar, a resident of Ghosh Bari area under Kaunia Police Station of the city. He was a ninth grader of Udayan Secondary School.

Police said the boy committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his room in the morning.

Later, being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The cause of the death was not known immediately.

Kaunia Police Station inspector Haridas Nag confirmed the matter.
