Teenager dies falling from building in Dhaka’s Kamalapur


A teenager boy died after falling from the 12th floor of a multi-storey building in the capital’s Kamalapur on Tuesday evening.
 
The deceased was identified as Shafayet Ahmed, 17, son of Shah Alam, a resident of the area. He was HSC examinee at Sher-e-Bangla Railway School and College
Shah Alam, the deceased father, said Shafayet was suffering from mental disorders. He slipped and fell from the balcony of the 12th floor of the 17-storey building while he was running to enter the lift.

Later, he was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police outpost in-charge inspector Bachchu Miah confirmed the matter.
