N’ganj fire death toll rises to 2 as another victim dies

The death toll from the fire and subsequent building collapse in Nitaiganj of Narayanganj rose to two as another victim died on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Md Shahjahan Khan, 40, son of Md Ali Khan, died around 6:20am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said Md Bachhu Miah, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost.

Earlier on March 18, a man was killed as a building partially collapsed due to an electric transformer explosion in Nitaiganj.
