![]() Sylhet CNG filling station explosion: Death toll rises to 4 The death toll from the explosion at a CNG filling station in Sylhet has risen to four as two more people died on Monday at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) in Dhaka while undergoing treatment with burn injuries. The deceased were as Tarek Ahmed, 32, son of Gias Uddin, Badal Das, 41, son of Arjun Das. The burn institute resident medical officer Tariqul Islam said Tarek, sustaining 35 percent burn injuries, died early in the morning. After that, Badal succumbed to his injuries in the morning. Nine people were injured in an explosion at Biroti CNG Filling Station that triggered a fire in Sylhet's Mirabazar area on September 5. Of the injured, Rumel Siddique, and Imon Ahmed, 32 died at SHNIBPS on September 11 and 12 respectively. EM |
