Bangladesh Railway authorities have decided to run six passengers' train on the Padma Bridge from October. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate it on October 10.
After one week of the inauguration, the trains will ply on the bridge.
Two inter-service trains of Khulna-Dhaka route, Sundarban and Chitra, Dhaka-Benapole route's 'Benapole Express' will run via Padma Bridge changing the current route.
'Maitree Express' also will enter Dhaka via Padma Bridge.
According to the railway sources, a proposal in this regard has been made and it will be finalised soon.
