2 die in Dinajpur truck-pickup van collision

Two people died in a truck-pickup van collision in Dinajpur's Phulbari upazila early Friday.

The accident happened around 4 am in front of Phulbari 29 BGB camp.
The deceased were Naib Ali, 45, a resident of Thakurgaon, the driver of the pickup van, and his assistant. However, the name of the assistant was not known immediately.

According to police, a paddy-laden truck rammed a Dhaka-bound covered van from behind in that area. Meanwhile, a pickup van loaded with chicken from Thakurgaon hit the truck. The driver of the pick-up and his helper died on the spot.

Phulbari Police Station officer-in-charge Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the news.
