IGP asked to remove banners, posters ahead of election

IGP asked to remove banners, posters ahead of election


The Political Wing-6 of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs has sent a letter to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) requesting to take necessary steps for removal of all the campaign materials in the constituencies ahead of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad election.

Earlier on November 18 last, Md Atiar Rahman, deputy secretary of the Election Supervision-2 Department of the Election Commission sent a letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs in this regard.
The Home Ministry's letter requested to take necessary measures for removal of campaign materials including posters, banners, gates and arches from across the country according to the rules and regulations of Jatiya Sangsad election.
