3 buses set on fire in Natore


Miscreants set fire to three passenger buses in Natore district on Sunday night amid the 48-hour blockade called by BNP.

The buses belonging to 'Sami-Johni Paribahan' and 'Royal Transport' were set on fire in Chakrampur area of the town around 11:00 pm.
Natore Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Nashim Ahmed said some buses were standing near Chakrampur VIP Hotel in the town. Miscreants set fire to two buses around 11:00 pm.

Later, the fire spread to adjacent another bus of 'Sami-Johni Paribahan'. The first two buses that caught fire were completely burnt and the second was partially burnt.

On information, fire service personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control after one hour of effort.  But before that, the two buses were burnt down.

The OC also said that legal action is being taken in this regard.
