Moving bus torched in Gazipur

Miscreants set fire to a moving bus in Jirani Bazar area of Gazipur city on Monday.

The incident happened around 9 am on the Chandra-Nabinagar road.

According to police and locals, a passenger bus was heading towards Dhaka from Chandra in Kaliakair upazila. When it reached Jirani Bazar area, the bus was set on fire.

Later, local people extinguished the fire. Several seats inside the bus were burnt.

Gazipur Kashimpur Police Station officer-in-charge Syed Rafiul Karim confirmed it.
