Man held over vandalizing electoral camp in Faridpur-3

Police in a drive arrested Tofazzal Hossain Samrat from Faridpur town on Wednesday on the charge of vandalizing electoral camp of an independent candidate ahead of national election. 

Officer-in-Charge of Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Shahidul Islam said Samrat and his followers reportedly vandalized the election camp of independent candidate of Faridpur-3 AK Azad near Gerda High School in Ward No. 3 of Gerda Union.

A joint team of RAB and police conducted drives in the city and arrested  Samrat.

According to locals, on December 24, unidentified criminals riding on motorcycles went to the election camp independent candidate of Faridpur-3 constituency AK Azad's in Gerda Abul Faiz Mujibur Rahman High School area  and vandalised the camp, beat up two of his followers.
