BNP expels Zakiganj Sr VP Tofail for attending AL rally

Sylhet, Jan 3: BNP on Wednesday expelled Zakiganj  senior vice president Tofail Ahmad Chowdhury for attending Awami League (AL) candidates rally.

The expulsion order was signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Tofail had attended election rally of AL candidate Masuk Uddin Ahmed in Sylhet-5, held in Ward No. 7 of Barhal union in Zakiganj upazila.
The photo of Tofail sitting on the right side of the stage, when  Masuk Uddin was addressing his election rally, went viral on the Facebook.

Local BNP leaders and activists demanded  action against him.

A circular signed Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, Tofail Chowdhury, has been expelled from all positions including primary membership for anti-party activities.
