Monjur Alam unveils 20-point polls manifesto

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 4: Independent candidate with cauliflower symbol of Chattogram-10 constituency and former mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mohammad Monjur Alam announced a 20-point action plan manifesto at Bangabandhu Hall of Chattogram Press Club on Thursday.

The former mayor said, "In the last CCC election of 2010, the people of Chattogram city elected me the mayor by sending me to the city hall and gave me an opportunity to serve the city people. This time also in the same way, by voting for my symbol cauliflower, you will give me an opportunity to talk about your demands, civil rights, development of the area." "I have established a trust. At present 103 service oriented institutions are being run under these institutions, "he added.

Monjur alam said, "I do not obey anyone. We who will go to parliament as independent candidates will not let anyone speak alone. We are holding elections for you, for the sake of the country, for the sake of the people." He told voters, "Feel free to come to the polling station and vote for the cauliflower symbol."

Prominent persons including Mohammad Harish, Zafar Ahmad, Abul Kashem, Shah Alam, Sultan Ahmad, Noor Mia, MA Taher, Shaheen Alam, Mohammad Sarwar Alam, Nipur Chowdhury, Shamsul Alam were present at the declaration ceremony.
