Habiganj-4: Barrister Sumon wins defeating state minister for civil aviation

Barrister Sayedul Huque Sumon has won the election in Habiganj-4 (Madhabpur-Chunarughat) constituency, defeating the Awami League candidate and incumbent State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali.

Sumon, who ran as an independent candidate, secured 1,98,000 votes, while two-time Awami League lawmaker Mahbub Ali received 47,000 votes.
There are 177 centers in Habiganj-4 constituency.

A practicing lawyer at the Supreme Court, Sumon faced expulsion from his position in the Jubo League central committee in 2021.

Barrister Suman is a former prosecutor of International Crimes Tribunals. He is widely known for his social media activities.

He raises voice against social injustice, corruption, and social problems through social media especially Facebook that makes himself a star within a short time.
