Member of the new cabinet have entered Bangabhaban to take oath.
Led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the new cabinet will be sworn-in at 7:00pm at Bangabhaban.
Apart from Sheikh Hasina, there are 25 full ministers and 11 state ministers in the new cabinet. President Mohammed Shahabuddin will administer oath to the cabinet members. According to the tradition, prime minister will take oath first and then the ministers and state ministers will take oath.
Earlier, President Mohammed Shahabuddin appointed 25 ministers and 11 state ministers of the new cabinet.
A gazette notification, signed by Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, was issued in this regard in the afternoon.
Through the oath, Awami League is going to take over the charge of state affairs for the fourth consecutive term, while Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is going to make history by taking oath as the prime minister for the fifth consecutive term.
All the formalities have been completed to form the government. The size of thhe new cabinet including the prime minister is 37.
The 25 ministers who are going to take over the charge are: AKM Mozammel Huque, Obaidul Quader, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Dr Dipu Moni, Tajul Islam, Faruque Khan, Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, Advocate Anisul Haq, Dr Hasan Mahmud, Abdus Shahid, Sadhan Chandra Mazumder, RAM Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Narayan Chandra Chanda, Abdus Salam, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Farhad Hossain, Faridul Huque Khan, Zillul Hakim, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Nazmul Hasan Papon,
Two ministers under technocrat quota: Yeafesh Osman and Dr Samanta Lal Sen.
The 11 state ministers are: Mohammad A. Arafat, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Nasrul Hamid, Simeen Hossain (Rimi), Rumana Ali, Ahsanul Islam Titu, Shafikur Rahman Chowdhury, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Zahid Faruq, Kujendra Lal Tripura, and Mohibbur Rahman.
