Cold-hit people get blankets in five districts

Blankets were distributed among the cold-hit poor people in five districts- Rajshahi, Natore, Noakhali, Moulvibazar and Lalmonirhat, recently.

BAGHA, RAJSHAHI: Blankets were distributed among the cold-hit destitute people in Bagha Upazila of the district on Thursday.

Kashemi Samaj Kalyan Parishad, a voluntary organization in Arani of the upazila, organized the distribution programme on Chaksinga Kashemul Ulum Qawmi Madrasa Field in Arani area of the upazila at around 10 am. About 30 cold-hit helpless people were given the winter clothes at that time.

President of Arani Kashemi Samaj Kalyan Parishad and Superintend of Kashemul Ulum Qawmi Madrasa Kamruzzaman, General Secretary of Kashemi Samaj Kalyan Parishad and Imam of Arani Central Jame Mosque Hafez Mufti Maulana Abdur Rashid Ahmed, Hafez Maulana Bulbul Ahmed and Mufti Maulana Ilias Hussain, among others, were also present during the distribution.

BARAIGRAM, NATORE: Winter clothes were distributed among helpless and distressed people on Wednesday in Baraigram Upazila of the district on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

District Awami League (AL) Health Affairs Secretary Dr Siddiqur Rahman Patwary, MP, from Natore-4 Constituency, was present as the chief guest and distributed these blankets at Baraigram Sadar and Jonail unions among more than 300 people.

The MP said, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to change the fate of people. So that you don suffer in winter, we stand by your side. You will accept these gifts given by the Prime Minister and pray for her."

Jonail Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Abul Kalam Azad, Upazila AL Joint Secretary Anwar Hossain Dulal, Upazila Juba League Joint Convener Abul Kalam Zoaddar, Joy Bangla Social Movement Central Committee General Secretary TM Masud Karim Baki and Zilla Parishad Member Humayara Jahan Ria, among others, were also present during the distribution.

BEGUMGANJ, NOAKHALI: Winter clothes were distributed among the helpless people in Begumganj Upazila of the district on Tuesday.

Nishan Foundation distributed the warm clothes among the recipients at Qutubpur in the morning.

Local UP Member Jafar Ullah Swapon, AL leader Rafiq Ullah, Secretary General of Nishan Foundation Journalist Yakub Nobi Emon and Noakhali Welfare Foundation Admin Mizanur Rahman, among others, were also present at that time.

KAMALGANJ, MOULVIBAZAR: Blankets were distributed among the cold-hit poor people including the tea workers of Santal community in Kamalganj Upazila of the district on Tuesday.

Sonali Bank PLC distributed the blankets among about 100 cold-hit helpless people in Baghichhara Tea Garden and Paruabil Santal Palli of Patrakhola Tea Garden in the upazila at noon.

Deputy Manager of Moulvibazar Branch of Sonali Bank Md Emran Ullah, as the chief guest, gave the blankets to the recipients.

Assistant General Manager of Moulvibazar Principal Office of Sonali Bank PLC Sanjay Kumar Deb, Sujit Kumar Roy, Kazi Rokib Uddin, SP Shahed Ahmed Chowdhury, and Manager of the Shamshernagar Branch of the bank Sultana Kamrunnahar Nahid, among others, were also present during the distribution.  

LALMONIRHAT: Blankets were distributed among 300 cold-hit destitute people including fishermen in Kaliganj and Hatibandha upazilas of the district recently.

Members of North Bengal Fisheries Project distributed these blankets among the needy people of Tushbhandar Union in Kaliganj Upazila and Dauabari Union in Hatibandha Upazila of the district in the morning.

Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption of Dinajpur Office Muhammad Moazzem Hossain Sabuj inaugurated the distribution programme.
 
Patgram Upazila Fisheries Officer Dwin Md Asadullah, Bangladesh Live Project For Youth Country Coordinator Alison, Mobilisation Leader of Green Village Bangladesh Medha, Project Manager Coach Ivan, Project Leader Talent Halima Tuz Sadia Tanha, and Journalist Mamun Hossain, among others, were also present during the distribution.
