Pitha festival begins in Panchagarh

A three-day long National Pitha and Folk Culture Festival started on Wednesday in Panchagarh district.

Panchagarh Shipakala Academy organized the festival on it's premises in collaboration with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Panchagarh Additional Deputy Commissioner Riazuddin inaugurated the fair where Abu Toibur Rahman, General Secretary of the District Shilpakala Academy, gave a welcome speech on the inaugural session. Women entrepreneurs make and display beautiful pithas at the festival.

Later, a folk cultural program was performed by various cultural organizations of Panchagarh and the artists of the District Shilpakala Academy.

The festival will open from 4 pm to 7 pm every day for everyone.
