EBL ATMs to be set up at 16 metro rail stations

Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), leading private sector bank of the country will set up Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at all sixteen metro rail stations of MRT Line-6 from Diabari to Matijheel.

The ATMs will provide 24/7 services to metro rail passengers and others.

In presence of EBL Managing Director and CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar and Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd. (DMTCL) Managing Director MAN Siddique, EBL DMD and Head of Retail and SME Banking M. Khorshed Anowar and DMTCL Company Secretary (Additional Charge) Mohammad Abdur Rouf signed an agreement to this effect at a ceremony held at the conference room of DMTCL office in the city on Tuesday, says a press release.

Speaking on the occasion Ali Reza Iftekhar said, "We are thankful to DMTCL authority for the opportunity to set up EBL ATMs at the metro rail stations. I hope metro rail users will benefit from our modern ATM services. We look forward to more cooperation with DMTCL to benefit Dhaka metropolitans."

M A N Siddique in his speech said, "We are happy to partner with EBL to bring more convenience to our customers. DMTCL is committed to making metro rail travel more hassle-free and enjoyable".

EBL handed over a cheque to DMTCL as one year of rent for ATMs to be set up at 16 metro rail stations, at the ceremony.
Ziaul Karim, Head of Communications and External Affairs, Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, Head of Digital Financial Services, Amin Md. Mehedi Hasan, Head of Digital Banking, Mir Rehan Imtiaz, Head of ADC and others from EBL and senior officials of DMTCL were present on the occasion.
 
EBL presently operates 242 ATMs, 56 CRMs, and 35 RTDMs across the country.
