Mirza Abbas gets bail in 11 cases, no bar to release

A court in Dhaka on Monday granted bail to BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas in a case filed with Dhaka Railway Police Station.

Now, there is no legal bar for him to release from jail as he secured bail in total 11 cases filed against him for violence during the party's October 28 rally.

Dhaka Chief Judicial Magistrate Julhash Uddin granted him the bail today after holding hearing.

Mirza Abbas's lawyer Mohiuddin Chowdhury said he will be released after the bail paper is reached.

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Mirza Abbas from Shahidbag in the capital in a case of sabotage on the night of October 31, 2023.

He was accused in 11 cases.
