DU entry test results of four units published

The results of the admission tests of Dhaka University (DU) for the undergraduate programmes were published on Thursday.

Vice-Chancellor Prof ASM Maksud Kamal unveiled the results to the public at a press conference held at Professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom on the campus at 3:30pm.

For the first time, the university authorities published the results of all four units that include Science Unit, Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit, Business Studies Unit and Fine Arts Unit on the same day.

Prionty Mondal of Govt MM City College, Khulna secured the first position in the Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit with a total of 105.25 marks.

Proteek Rosul of Notre Dame College scored the highest in the Science Unit with a total of 111.25 marks.

Athay Dhar of Govt Commerce College, Chattogram, topped the Business Studies unit test, achieving the highest 105.50 marks.

Md Badhon Talukder of Bir Shreshtha Munshi Abur Rouf Public College, Dhaka secured the first position in the Fine Arts unit examination.

10,257 out of 1,02,000 admission seekers passed  the Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit test against 2,934 seats. 10.07 of the total students passed the examination.

In the Science Unit, 9,723 out of 1,09,363 candidates passed the test against 1851 seats. 8.89 per cent of the total aspirants passed the test. There are 1,050 seats in the Business Studies unit. In this unit, 4,582 students passed the examination while 34,367 aspirants participated in the entry test. Some 86.67 per cent admission seekers failed the test.

Vying for 130 seats, 530 out of 4,510 admission seekers passed the Fine Arts unit examination with a pass rate of 11.75 per cent.

Eligible students have been asked to submit admission forms and subject choice lists online between April 3 and April 25.
