Tribute to Palestinians during Bangladesh-Palestine match

During the recent World Cup qualifying match between Bangladesh and Palestine, a touching tribute unfolded as a section of the audience conveyed their condolences and solidarity with Palestinians.

Amidst the fervour of the game, spectators raised Palestinian placards, using the platform to protest the ongoing brutality in Gaza perpetrated by Israel.
A sports news portal called Sports 247 actively engaged viewers in actions to assist the Palestinians in a moving demonstration of support.

Over 200 people were provided with Iftar meals and special t-shirts, symbolising a collective expression of support and sympathy for Palestine.

The anticipation for the World Cup Qualifier match between Bangladesh and Palestine had been palpable among football enthusiasts. However, on this particular day, the people of Bangladesh exhibited compassion and respect for their opponents, recognizing the significance of the match beyond sport.

Among the Bengali spectators, many passionately supported Bangladesh yet harboured deep admiration and affection for Palestine.

The stadium reverberated with chants of both teams names, and the air was adorned with a sea of banners and festoons, reflecting the unity and spirit of the occasion.

Sports 247 took a proactive step by facilitating the attendance of over 100 fans to witness the game firsthand. Their vibrant display of banners and infectious enthusiasm set an inspiring example, showcasing a genuine sense of brotherhood and respect towards the Palestinian spectators and players alike.

Reflecting on the event, Mahabub Nahid, Chief Executive Officer of Sports 247, shared, "Today, our presence here extends beyond mere support for our national team.

We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Palestine, wishing for their Independence Day to be celebrated with the same joy as ours.

As Bengalis, we stand united with them, always offering our sympathy and love. Our shared bond as Muslims strengthens our commitment to their cause."
