Five people found dead in five districts

Five men were found dead in separate incidents in five districts - Mymensingh, Patuakhali, Narayanganj, Jamalpur and Sherpur, in two days.
MYMENSINGH: Police recovered the half-decomposed body of a man from a rented house in Gouripur Upazila of the district on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Ali Akbar, 60, hailed from Bishnupur Village in Ishwarganj Upazila of the district.
It was learnt that he was a vegetable trader and used to live in a rented house near Gouripur Railway Station.
On Monday night, locals smelt a bad smell from Akbars house and they rushed there. Then they found the body of Ali Akbar and informed police.
Getting information, police recovered the body.
Ali Akbar went to sleep at his rented tin-shed room on Saturday night after ending his work.
Officer in-Charge (OC) of Gouripur Police Station (PS) Sumon said, "Police are preparing to send the body to a hospital morgue for an autopsy".
The actual reason behind the death would be known after getting the autopsy report, the OC added.
KALAPARA, PATUAKHALI: Police recovered the body of a worker of Payra Sea Port in Kalapara Upazila of the district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Barek Akan, 35, son of Sattar Akan, a resident of Purba Jharakhali area under Taltali Upazila in the district.
Police and local sources said Barek Akan fell sick all of a sudden while he was working at Terminal No. 1 of Payra Sea Port in Chingaria area under Lalua Union of the upazila on Sunday noon.
He was immediately taken to Kalapara Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Later on, the deceaseds family members found injury marks of the chest of Bareks body and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body on Monday morning and sent it to Patuakhali General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
NARAYANGANJ: Police recovered the body of a man from the Nasim Osman Shitalakshya Bridge No. 3 in Sadar Upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.
The identity of the deceased, aged about 55, could not be known immediately.
Police sources said locals spotted the body of the man lying on the Nasim Osman Shitalakshya Bridge No. 3 in Syedpur area of the upazila in the afternoon and informed the matter to police through calling the national emergency number 999.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Sub-Inspector of Narayanganj Sadar Model PS Borhan confirmed the incident, adding that Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) are investing the matter and filing of an unnatural death case with the PS is underway in this regard.
SARISHABARI, JAMALPUR: Police on Sunday recovered the body of a teenager, who was killed reportedly by his drug addict friends in Sarishabari Upazila of the district, four days after he went missing.
Deceased Uzzal Mia, 14, was the son of Ushar Ali, a resident of Charbalia Village under Duail Union in the upazila.
Family members of the deceased said that someone called Uzzal out of the house after Iftar on Wednesday. Later on, an anonymous person contacted with the family members and demanded Tk 5,000 as ransom.
"They also threatened that if the money was not send immediately through bkash they will kill Uzzal," said the family members.
After being threatened by the killers, the deceaseds father Ushar Ali lodged a complaint with Sarishabari PS.
Following the complaint, police had detained one suspect, named Shahabuddin, but he secured bail with the help of local union parishad member.
Later on Sunday afternoon, locals and police found Uzzals body inside a septic tank of a neighbour, following a malodour coming from the tank.
Locals alleged that the most of the friends of the deceased Uzzal are drug addicts and they used to run a juvenile gang in the area.
"They (gang members) might have killed Uzzal," said the locals.
Sarishabari PS OC Mushfiqur Rahman said police have recovered the body and sent it to Jamalpur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The law enforcers have also detained two suspected, Abu Sayeed and Saddam Hossain, for questioning and legal action would be taken after investigation, the OC added.
NALITABARI, SHERPUR: The body of a man, who went missing in the Bhogai River in Nalitabari Upazila of the district 12 hours back, was recovered on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Basir Ali, 45, son of Idris Ali, a resident of Kalakuma Guccha Village under Ramchandrakura Union in the upazila.  
It was known that Basir Ali fell in the Bhogai River in Nakugaon Land Port area at around 9 pm on Saturday while he was returning home in a drunken condition, and went missing there. Sensing the matter, local people searched him in the river for long but could not locate him. They then informed the matter to police and Fire Service office.
On information, a team of divers of the Fire Service recovered his body from the river at around 9 am on Sunday, said Nalitabari Fire Service Acting Station Officer Shafiqul Islam.
Police, later, handed over the body to the deceaseds family members without an autopsy as no complaint was lodged from them.
Nalitabari OC Monirul Alam Bhuiyan confirmed the incident, adding that an unnatural death case was filed in this regard.
