KHULNA, Apr 5: The Khulna City Corporation Authority (KCC) on Monday terminated 37 fourth-grade employees on charge of filing a writ petition to the High Court submitting false documents and certificates, said a KCC press release, signed by Sanzida Begum, KCC chief revenue officer, also secretary (additional charge).
The 37 terminated KCC employees had been working in the KCC in muster roll for long, the press release added. They were working in different departments including garbage, cleaning, security and driving.
Revenue Officer Sanzida Begum said, the 37 KCC employees recently filed a writ petition to the High Court seeking their jobs permanent, attaching some false documents.
Of the documents, some papers were shown fake received copies of the KCC authority, and the authority formed a probe committee about the issue, she added.
She further said, after the investigation, the probe committee submitted a report to the KCC mayor in the last month.
The probe report found, the 37 muster roll employees led by Bacchu Sheikh, spray man of the Department of Garbage Management, submitted false documents of KCC with the petition to the High Court, demanding their jobs permanent from the present muster roll.
"The 37 muster roll employees have been sacked as per the recommendation of the probe committee and by the order of KCC Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque," she maintained.
