Modernise IU central library

Dear Sir

Islamic University established after independence and it has turned 44 years old over time. Despite aging, the university lacks the vigor, dynamism and vibrancy it once had. While modernization has left its mark on Bangladesh infrastructures one of the central hubs of intellectual discourse in the Islamic University known as Khademul Haramain Badshah Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz Central Library it does not reflect modernity.

As Bangladesh advances towards becoming a digital and smart nation one of the countrys prominent universities lacks modern facilities like a central library. Although a digital library access center was inaugurated at the university four years ago its implementation has not been realized.

Apart from these issues there is insufficient space in the library for students to study with their own books. The library administration has not made any arrangements for clean drinking water for the students. Even after 44 years of establishment, students still do not have digital ID cards.

I urge the university administration and all relevant authorities to address these issues and find solutions.
