ATM booth security guard found dead in city

A security guard found dead in front of an ATM booth in Pragati Sarani area of Shahjadpur  in the capital on Wednesday.

The guard Hasan Mahmud, 55, was reportedly hacked to death in front of the ATM booth of Madhumoti Bank in the area in between 5 to 5.20am, said  Officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station Majharul Islam.

He said on information, police recovered the body on Wednesday afternoon and sent it to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors said he had died much earlier.

The official said they suspected that miscreants might have killed him after they have not able to rob the money.
Police have collected the CCTV footage to identify the accused.
