Mild heat wave may spread in different areas

A mild heat wave is sweeping over many places of the country and it may spread, said a weather forecast issued by Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Friday.


"Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Barishal division and the districts of Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Moulvibazar, Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni and Bandarban and it may spread," said the bulletin valid for the 24 hours starting from 9:00 am.


Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the weather bulletin also said.


Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 40 degrees Celsius at Rangamati and the minimum temperature Friday was 19.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.


The sun sets at 6:19 pm Friday and rises at 5:40 am Saturday in the capital.
