Two injured in Gazipur gas cylinder explosion

Two people were injured in a gas cylinder explosion at an eight-storey building in Shimultali Shanti Bagh area of Gazipur Sadar on Sunday afternoon.

The identities of the injured could not be known immediately.

Abdullah Arefin, deputy assistant director of Gazipur fire service, said the incident occurred around 1pm. Being informed by the locals, firefighters rescued the two .

The injured were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital's burn unit, he said.
