Import-export resumes through Nakugaon land port

After a six-day holiday, the import and export activities started at Nakugaon land port in Sherpur's Nalitabari upazila on Monday.

The port authority confirmed this information in the morning.
Nakugaon land port was closed for six days from April 9 to April 14 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Bengali New Year 1431. After a long holiday, all activities started again at this port from Monday.

However, even though the activities were closed for six consecutive days, the travel of passport holders was normal. Passengers entered India through Nakugaon immigration check post and Indians came to Bangladesh.

Nakugaon Land Port Import Exporters Association president Mostafizur Rahman Mukul said that all activities including loading and unloading resumed at this port from Monday. Trucks full of stones have started arriving from Bhutan. Apart from this, the port has become bustling with daily attendance workers engaged in the work of breaking stones.
