NRBC Bank celebrates three festivals

NRBC Bank has celebrated its 12 years of operation in its commercial activities, Bangla New Year, and Eid reunion festival with enthusiasm.

On the occasion of these three festivals, meetings and "One Dish Party" were organized in all divisions of the main office and all branches across the country recently, says a press release.

The main guest at these events was Zaheed Farooque, MP, State Minister of Water Resources.

The event, organized in a hybrid manner, was attended by Parvez Tamal, Chairman of the Bank, Vice Chairman Rafikul Islam Mia Arzoo, Chairman of the Executive Committee Mohammed Adnan Imam FCCA, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee AKM Mostafizur Rahman, Director Mohammed Oliur Rahman, AM Saidur Rahman, Loquit Ullah, Mohammed Nazim, Chairman of the Independent Director & Audit Committee, Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) Abu Esrar, Independent Director Dr. Khan Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Dr. Raad Mozib Lalon, and Managing Director & CEO Golam Awlia, along with the Sponsors and senior officials of the bank.

In addition to celebrating its founding anniversary, NRBC Bank also organized the celebration of Bengali New Year 1431 and Eid-ul-Fitr.

In the "One Dish Party," most of the banks employees cooked their favorite foods and enjoyed the festivities with their colleagues.

State Minister of Water Resources, Zaheed Farooque, MP said, "Bangladesh, the secular state established by the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, celebrates the festivals of all communities.

The entire nation celebrated Eid and Bengali New Year in a festive atmosphere. Recently, NRBC Bank has completed 12 years of operation. On this occasion, I extend heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all the employees and staff of the bank.

It is truly commendable how NRBC Bank is playing a role in the development of rural areas. We believe that NRBC Banks welfare-oriented activities will facilitate poverty alleviation and employment creation in the country.

Chairman of NRBC Bank, Parvez Tamal, said, "NRBC Bank is working for the welfare of the people. We are implementing microcredit schemes to uplift the marginalized people who have been left behind. We are implementing various projects under the governments program to urbanize rural areas."

Today, we are celebrating Bengali New Year, Eid reunion, and the founding anniversary of the bank together. NRBC Bank wants to add color to peoples lives in rural Bangladesh through its initiatives.

It is noteworthy that NRBC Bank was established on April 2, 2013, by taking the hands of 53 expatriate entrepreneurs.

The commercial activities started on April 18 of that year. During this time, the banks economic indicators have become significantly stronger. In 2017, the deposit was Tk 4,523 crore.

At the end of 2023, it has increased by more than 4 times to Tk 17,613 crore. Similarly, loan distribution has increased by more than three times.

In 2017, the loan was Tk 4,300 crore, and by the end of 2023, it has reached Tk 14,508 crore. The number of bank employees has increased from 617 to 6,832.

In 2017 there were only 61 branches. At the end of 2023, the number of branches and sub-branches has reached nearly 800.
