A man died reportedly of
heat stroke at Madhabdi upazila in
Narsingdi district on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Safkat Jamil Evan, 32, son of late Jakaria Jamil, a resident of Bhagirathi village under the upazila.
According to the deceased family members, Evan fell sick when returned home in the noon after visiting his in-laws house at Narayanganj. He fell unconscious soon after he reached home.
He then taken to Narsingdi General Hospital but he breathed his last on the way to the hospital, they said.
Dr Mahmudul Kabir Bashar, a residential medical officer of the hospital, confirmed the death matter and added that Evan was brought dead in the hospital.
According to the symptoms, described by the family members, it was assumed that he might have died from a heat stroke but the actual reason behind the death could not be ascertained, added the medical officer.
